L1 Mathematical Reasoning
AS91947
Demonstrate mathematical reasoning
AS91947 is the externally assessed reasoning standard in the Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics course introduced in 2024. It asks you to work with algebra, geometry, measurement and number together, and to justify what you have done rather than only produce an answer — the reasoning is what is being marked.
Level 1 was restructured in 2024. If you are working from older material you may see standards numbered 91026 to 91038; those have been replaced.
